It takes time for a bicycle to break in. After your purchase of a new bicycle, you'll experience a period where the brake and derailleur cables stretch, the spokes stretch, and the bike needs more frequent adjustment than it will later in its life. Once everything is done breaking in, the bike requires less adjustment over time.At the Spoke Shop, we make sure that the break in period for your bike doesn't break in your wallet as well: we have a one year service warranty to cover the adjustments that your bike will need. For a year from the date of your Spoke Shop bicycle purchase, you will receive unlimited, free adjustment of your bicycle for all normal wear and tear associated with the normal breaking in period. This includes adjustment of the brakes and derailleurs, bearing adjustments, and wheel truing as well - all at no charge to you.
While we can't cover everything (for example, a flat tire is *not* normal break in :-), we do cover all of the adjustments that we know are part and parcel of owning a new bike. By keeping your bike in top shape with the expert mechanics at the Spoke Shop, you continue to get exceptional value long after the purchase - that's the just one of the ways we stand above the competition!
